- Purpose: The purpose of Lambda Theta Alpha shall be to provide a sisterhood based on unity, love, and respect. To develop strong leaders who will then provide and practice political, social, and cultural activities. Promote unity through charitable and educational programs. Maintain a higher standard of learning and serve as a voice for all students.
- Nicknames: LTA's, Lambda Ladies
- Mottos: "Latin by tradition, not by definition"; "Women there are many, Ladies there are few"
- Colors: Burgundy and grey
- Symbols: La perla (pearl), la concha (shell), la palma (palm tree), Lady on The Moon
- Founded: December 1975, at Kean University in Union, N.J.
- Chapter Founded: April 28, 2001, at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.
- The Intelligent and Eloquent Gamma Beta Chapter is an affiliate member of Vanderbilt's Panhellenic Council, though we do not participate in formal recruitment or "rush."
- Traditions: Lambda Ladies do not step. Instead, we express our unity by saluting, a tradition particular to Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. and Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc., and strolling.
- Lambda Theta Alpha was established as an academic sorority and strives toward academic achievement for all its members.
